Collection of your Personal Information
In order to better provide you with products and services offered, ProLegal may collect personally identifiable information, such as your:

If you purchase ProLegal's products and services, we collect billing and credit card information. This information is used to complete the purchase transaction.
In addition, because ProLegal provides litigation funding services, we may collect certain categories of sensitive personal information as defined under California law, including medical records, medical treatment information, insurance information, and financial account information (such as bank account numbers, income information, and loan/repayment history). This information is collected solely for the purpose of evaluating, underwriting, funding, and servicing legal funding transactions, and to comply with applicable laws.
We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. However, you may be required to provide certain personal information to us when you elect to use certain products or services. These may include: (a) registering for an account; (b) entering a sweepstakes or contest sponsored by us or one of our partners; (c) signing up for special offers from selected third parties; (d) sending us an email message; (e) submitting your credit card or other payment information when ordering and purchasing products and services. To wit, we will use your information for, but not limited to, communicating with you in relation to services and/or products you have requested from us. We also may gather additional personal or non-personal information in the future.
PCI Payments:
Card processing is provided by PCI DSS–compliant processors; we do not store full card numbers or CVV.
Use of your Personal Information
ProLegal collects and uses your personal information to operate and deliver the services you have requested.
Sensitive personal information (medical and financial information) is used exclusively to evaluate, underwrite, fund, and service litigation funding transactions, and will not be sold, rented, or disclosed to third parties for unrelated marketing purposes.
ProLegal may also use your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from ProLegal and its affiliates.
ProLegal may also use your personal information for the following:
Monitor use of our Services;
Provide customer support;
Communicate and provide additional information that may be of interest to users through email or other means, such as special offers, announcements, and marketing materials;
Send you reminders, technical notices, updates, product announcements, security alerts and support and administrative messages, service bulletins, or marketing;

Sharing Information with Third Parties
ProLegal does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties.
For the avoidance of doubt, mobile subscriber information—including text‑messaging originator opt‑in data and consent—is never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Medical and financial information is disclosed only as necessary to trusted service providers (such as financial institutions, insurers, or medical record reviewers) to perform litigation funding services, or as otherwise required by law. These third parties are contractually obligated to maintain strict confidentiality and safeguard your sensitive personal information.
ProLegal may share data with trusted partners to help perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to ProLegal, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.
ProLegal may disclose your personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on ProLegal or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of ProLegal; and/or (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of ProLegal, or the public;

This information is used for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the ProLegal website.

Right to Deletion
Subject to certain exceptions set out below, on receipt of a verifiable request from you, we will:

Children Under Thirteen
ProLegal does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen. If you are under the age of thirteen, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use this website.
E-mail Communications
From time to time, ProLegal may contact you via email for the purpose of providing announcements, promotional offers, alerts, confirmations, surveys, and/or other general communication.

These additional disclosures for California residents apply only to individuals who reside in California. We do not generally sell information as the term “sell” is traditionally understood.
However, to the extent “sale” under the CCPA is interpreted to include advertising technology activities such as those disclosed in the Cookies, similar tracking technology, and analytics section as a “sale,” we will comply with Applicable law as to such activity.

California Shine the Light Law
